A payment management platform that helps institutions record, verify, and track student payments while giving students access to their payment history and receipts.
My Role & Contributions
I built the complete platform under korun Tech Ltd, including the student portal, admin dashboard, payment tracking, verification workflow, receipt generation, reporting, API, database structure, and deployment.
The Problem Statement
Payment records were being managed with paper ledgers and receipts. This made it difficult for administrators to track payments and for students to prove that they had paid when records could not be found.
Strategic Approach
I built separate experiences for students and administrators. Students can view their payments, check their payment status, and download receipts. Administrators can verify payments, manage records, review payment activity, and generate reports.
Key Challenges
The system needed to be simple enough for staff to use without extensive training while still keeping accurate financial records. Supporting different payment categories, partial payments, and multiple departments also required a flexible data structure.
Proposed Solution
Each payment is stored as its own transaction instead of relying only on a running balance. This gives administrators a complete history of what happened and makes individual transactions easier to review. Payments move through a clear verification process before a receipt is issued.
Impact & Results
The platform replaced manual payment tracking for the target institution. Administrators gained a clearer view of payments across students and departments, while students could access their records without having to depend on paper receipts.
